Maltem is committed to social justice
Since 2009, February 20 has been celebrated as World Social Justice Day. Social justice is based on the recognition that all human beings should have the same fundamental rights. The UN has established a program of 12 commitments to this end. Team Maltem (Mooove) has also been organizing various initiatives for years to help create a better world.
Maltem Consulting Group Celebrates World Day of Social Justice
On February 20 is the day of the year when people around the world celebrate: Social Justice. For the record, this global day was declared by the UN (United Nations) in 2007. However, it wasn’t until 2009 that countries around the world began celebrating it.
World Social Justice Day highlights the many efforts that still need to be made to find solutions to problems such as:
- Poverty
- Exclusion
- Gender Equality
- Unemployment
- human rights
- Social Safety Nets
Many inequalities persist around the world (see the diagram of the system of inequalities below).
These inequalities include:
- inequalities of opportunity
- capital inequalities
- inequalities in social achievement
- economic inequalities

This global day provides an opportunity to accelerate and raise awareness of ideas for actions that help reduce the social cost.
🤔 But how can we bridge the social divide?
Simply by implementing measures that will help reduce inequalities or conflicts, for example.

12 Commitments to Transform Our World
World Day of Social Justice 2023 reignites the dialogue among those committed to breaking down the barriers of inequality:
- the member states of the United Nations,
- young people,
- the social partners,
- civil society,
- and all other stakeholders, such as our digital transformation consulting firm.
The UN is working to promote global prosperity.
Social Justice Day would not be complete without recalling the 12 commitments outlined in the vision of the UN’s common agenda.

The children's smiles! (🇲🇬 Madagascar)
Donations to the “L’Île aux Enfants” Association in Madagascar
In December 2022, the Maltem Team based in Africa visited the community school L’Île aux Enfants in Madagascar.
It has become an annual tradition for our team to bring treats and gifts to the schoolchildren. In fact, most of these children live in extreme poverty because they lack access to water or adequate sanitation, which are essential for their health and well-being.
A little comfort after the bad weather (🇲🇺 Mauritius)
Food Drive in Mauritius
In early February, torrential rains caused significant damage in Mauritius. Team Mooove sprang into action tohelp those in need by organizing a 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐞 𝐝𝐞 𝐝𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐬.
These food items were donated to the Holdem Foundation , which helps families in need and also runs a special-education school for children with disabilities (ages 5 to 21).

Lighting Up the Night for All Patients (🇫🇷 Paris)
Team Mooove at the Course des Lumières
35 members of Team Mooove were there that evening on the banks of the Seine for a wonderful performance! Lighting up the night by walking or running against cancer and in support of all those affected by the disease.
It was on November 19, 2022, that—armed with a glowing object and in rather chilly weather—we walked 10 km together and lit up Paris.
This event raised 150,000 euros, which was presented to the Institut Curie.
