Context:

 

Maltem Australia has been growing significantly. In order to ensure we continue to deliver excellence in our work with partners, we are now looking to recruit a Head of our Data Practice to help our organisation to scale and deliver new forms of value across our advisory, data consulting and delivery projects.

What we’re looking for in our Head of Data Practice

 

Your role will consist of:

· Lead our data & analytics practice, representing Maltem as the main point of contact in our engagement with our key customers and stakeholders.

· Bring your experience in data & analytics to help support and shape our business, including by leading our pre-sales activities with our business developers and talent recruiters

· Draw on your expertise to understand our customer's challenges and shape approaches to resolve them through clear and impactful roadmaps (design, architecture, methodology, delivery etc.)

· Create initiatives that will empower our consultants in their careers and positively impact the organisation

· Create a community of practice within the Maltem and customer ecosystem to share trends and knowledge in data & analytics

· Ensure the satisfaction of our consultants and empower them through a clear and well-designed consultant-journey

· Identify new opportunities and networks to increase Maltem Australia’s footprint

 

You will ideally come from a consulting background or have experience working in a large, fast-paced organisation, where you developed extensive experience in data engineering, data science and cloud solutions.

 

Responsibilities will include:

 

Data strategy & development:

· Collaborate, design, implement and review Maltem’s data and analytics engagement strategy to ensure focus, continuous improvement and best practice are at its core

· Identify and develop new partnerships increasing Maltem’s market visibility and expertise in the Australian market

· Support the implementation of clear strategies for project delivery with our customers

People leadership & community:

· Take overall responsibility for the strategy, priorities and performance of the data team, including achievement of team and individual targets

· Support the achievement of Maltem’s business objectives, including securing new strategic project opportunities in Australia with the Business Development team

· Play a leadership role with our data team to ensure quality and consistency in our engagement and project delivery to customers

· Build and refine repeatable customer engagement models

· Oversee the development and organisation of meetups, conferences, and workshop events to increase our visibility in the Australian market.

To be successful, you will need:

· a strong track record in leading data transformation projects

· deep experience in big data and analytics projects

· strong cloud solutions experience, especially in AWS / Azure

· prior exposure and work on data visualisation tools such as Tableau, Power BI and Alteryx

· an understanding of DevOps, DevSecOps and MLOps including best practices of software engineering and agile methodologies

· demonstrated management and leadership experience

· ability to foster and nurture a dynamic and vibrant team
